Beverley Town Bowls Club Vs St Catherine’s

Beverley Town Bowls Club were in action playing in the Humberside Evening Triples League at the Norwood Recreation Ground, Beverley Town rode their luck though came out on top winning each of the matches on the three played.

Rink 1 – Result 22-11

Score does not reflect the game as luck was on Beverley’s side but as the opposing skipper fired on most ends Beverley’s luck held out and they came out the winners.

Rink 2 Result 20-15

A hard fought game with the lead changing constantly. St Catherines’s went ahead on the 7 end and continued to lead until end 12 when Beverley took over the lead.  With one end remaining the scores were tied.  Beverley Town picked up 5 shots when their skipper managed to move the jack to their bowls to win the end.

Rink 3 Result 14-13

A close game with honours shared over the first 4 ends. Beverley moved ahead to be up 12 – 7 after the 10th end. Beverley maintained their lead and after 17 ends were up 14 – 12.  St Catherines only managed to score 1 shot on the final end for Beverley to finish as winners of a hard fought competitive game.
