Sun Sea Sand and Paella in Beverley, we haven’t got the sea and the sand but we do seem to have a little sun and a massive Paella with on street pan outside ‘’ every Saturday throughout summer.

John Walker the chef said ‘I start cooking the Paella with local free range chicken, chorizo from Ye Olde Porke Shoppe, king Prawns & squid from Peck’s, La Bomba rice & saffron, at 11-11.30am every Saturday and by 12 there’s a queue forming and by 1pm we’re sold out. It’s an amazing success.’ It certainly is attracting the crowds and getting talking, it brings a little bit of Spanish holidays back to Beverley. It’s also been a great success in the restaurant, as it’s been served with a free glass of wine.

Dine on the Rowe are offering Paella to go at £3.50 or to eat in at £7.95 inclusive of a glass of wine, every Saturday and will also be available this Friday 14th May to help feed all the people at the Antiques Road Show. They will also be holding a Spanish day the restaurant on Sunday 27th June from 12.30pm with a Spanish Guitarist and a great three course Spanish Menu with Tapas, Paella, Slow Cooked Belly Pork, Homemade Spanish Ice-creams & Chocolate Desserts.

This all may beg the question is ‘dine on the Rowe’ a Spanish restaurant?

Jason Rowe the executive chef exclaimed

‘ It may seem so,but we’re a Brasserie that try’s to source as many ingredients locally as possible, helping the local economy and developing strong relationships with local suppliers and producers, the food we serve is Modern British with big influences from the robust flavours of Spain, Italy, Greece and Morocco. Our ethos is to make everything on site and create it with a modern twist.’
