arvato Staff Running to Raise Funds in Beverley 10K

Earlier this year, partner, arvato government services, signed up to take part in an entrepreneurially-minded charity venture – Million Makers. As the first team from the Humber region to join Million Makers, arvato staff are particularly proud.

This enterprising scheme, organised by The Prince’s Trust, challenges teams from businesses across the UK to convert £1,500 in seed-funding into a profit of at least £10,000. Employees therefore not only raise worthwhile money but also develop valuable acumen, creativity and team working skills. As the name suggests, it is hoped that together the Million Makers teams will raise £1 million to help change the lives of young people.

Making a difference to young lives

Many of you will have heard of The Prince’s Trust, which gives practical and financial support to young people aged 14 to 30 years old, who have been in care, struggled at school, offended or are long-term unemployed. The Trust helps the young people build employment skills, develop confidence and motivation, and find work. Since The Prince’s Trust was established in 1976, it has helped more than 600,000 young people and currently supports 100 each day. More than three in four of the young people it worked with last year moved into work, education or training.
