Hodgsons 90 Minutes Away From Title

After this recent win, now need a final game victory over North Cave Reserves to clinch the County Premier League title.

The trip to Reckitts was never going to be easy against a side who can play neat football and boast a number of experienced players. Hodgsons started the game in great , Paul Silvester hitting the bar. The long throw-in’s were also causing problems for the home side with the coming close on many occasions, with just a final touch letting them down.

The breakthrough came courtesy of leading scorer , he tapped in on the 30 min mark from close range to give Hodgsons a 1 nil lead to take into the second half.

Goal number 2 came from the right foot of Foster. He hit a shot that flew into the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the box. He completed his hatrick with 15 minutes or so remaining with a fine solo effort. Foster now has 24 goals in just 21 appearences, a fine contribution from the former Town hitman.

Reckitts did manage a consolation goal, firing home from inside the box. Stand in keeper Ben Daniels had no chance as a wicked deflection left him standing motionless.
