Sutton Fields Vs Beverley United

Beverley United crashed out of the Muro Cup semi final losing 2 – 0 to Sunday Premier League Leaders Sutton Fields at Hill Top in Cottingham. One goal in each half was enough to end United’s chances of reaching a second cup final in a game not helped by the extremely windy weather which blew the ball everywhere.
Manage Danny Williams said after the match;

“When you play a strong side like Sutton Fields it is important everyone is at the top of their game, today some players did not perform.”

“There is no doubt we missed a leader up front to put the ball away however we failed to create many chances until late on in the match.”

“My main concern is why we are not playing at our best from the start, we are finishing games very strongly though unless we start better a season that promised so much will, simply put, not be worth remembering.”
