Beverley Look to Complete Double Over Rossendale

Beverley RUFC

Beverley RUFC head over the Pennines again this Saturday when they visit in the National League 3 (North) fixture. This will be the third of four consecutive away fixtures for the Beavers and they will be hoping to end their depressing run of defeats which have seen them slip down the league table to seventh place.

Their task has not been made easy this week by injury and unavailability problems blighting their training and making the selection of teams for the weekends matches nigh on impossible with the two match suspension handed out to following his dismissal at Cleckheaton only serving to compound the problem.

Better news for the Beavers is that both and are due to return to the country from their travels and, providing they have remained in reasonable shape whilst away, both will go a long way to boosting the club’s options and easing their problem of juggling such a small squad when injuries occur.

Whilst it is not possible to finally select any teams prior to Thursday night’s training session, the Beavers hope to select from the following :-

Beverley 1st XV v Rossendale (away). Meet 10.45 a.m

From:- R.Bussey, C.Harding, J.Gardiner, J.Tupai, J.Gill, P.Duboulay, M.Kilgannon, M.Hatfield, A.Forth, D.Morris, M.Adams, G.Gibson, D.Worrall (capt), D.Hodgson, J.McKay, B.Sherwood, C.Hancock, A.Riby-French, M.Shaw

Beverley 2nd XV are at home to Marist in an East Yorkshire League match and will be without powerful No 8 who has joined the club’s fracture clinic with a fractured hand, the sixth such casualty in this extraordinary run of bad luck. The seconds squad will be selected after training
