Cottingham Rangers Vs Humber Colts

This week for the was a visit to the foot of the table in Rangers Juniors who are yet to win a game and the Humber Colts were hoping to make it 10 defeats out 10 for them.

The game was delayed by 10mins with Cottingham not having a refferee so thier manager stepped up for the job only having to go home for a whistle. The Humber Colts were on a hiding to nothing from the first whistle with the Rangers manager/refferee seemed determind to get his team a win by hook or by crook with every decision going Cottinghams way.

For added presure on the Humber Colts filling the side lines were Scooner who hold 2nd spot in the table, with no fixture they had traveled to Cottingham with the intension of putting the league leaders off their game and it was working a treat.

The boys of the Humber Colts dug in deep as always and opened the scoring with Duplock yet another Colt to break his scoring duck, the game was messey in the 1st half but but Crowley soon doubled the Humber Colts tally to take the Humber Colts in at the half time break 2-0 up.

After a team talk by Tony & Steve with the odds still stacked against them the Humber Colts came out and played the football that has put them at the top of the table. A couple of swiches at the break proved a wise move, Ellis who replaced Duplock was soon on the score sheet putting the visitors 3 up with still no desisions going their way.

The Humber Colts were soon 4 up with Ellis turning his goal into a brace. With the game already dead and buried and with Claxston preparing to take a corner, Humber Colts keeper Coxen went  up to mix it in the 6yard box. Towering above the Rangers keeper Claxston swings a ball in Coxen putting the keeper off, the ball finds the top corner off Claxston foot making the final result 5 – 0
