Longcroft School Prom Dress Evening

In association with “Simply Elliegance” – a hire company in Sproatley – FOLS presented a Prom Dress Fashion show with great success.

The evening began with an introduction from Ellie Birch (the owner) – escorted onto the stage by Tom Blanchard and Jack Leigh (both yr 11) in full tuxedo!

Compare Sheenagh Rollison (chair of FOLS), donning a maroon evening gown, was escorted by her 15yr old son Matt, introducing the female models to a range of background music.

The 7-yr11 students and 2-yr13 students, elegantly walked across the stage and down the stairs, reassured by the presence of Tom and Jack, to meet Matt at the back of the hall who then escorted them back to the side entrance to the stage.

All the dresses had female names such as “Kelly”, “Petra”, “Lois”, “Mae” and “Fiona”. Descriptions were given as well as the hire price, which was anything from £35 to £85. Information that jewellery and tiaras could also be hired was given too.

Following the interval, where various raffle prizes were won (including manicures/hair appointments/jewellery/perfume) the models were able to show a further abundance of beautiful dresses.

The evening was a great success and raised over well £100. as an addition, 2nd hand dresses had been brought to show off – if any of these dresses are sold then FOLS will be given 10% towards their fundraising.

Spotlight Limo Cruises brought their 16-seater limo, which was well inspected throughout the evening – remember 1st come first served!!!!

An enormous thank you goes to Ellie for “Simply Elliegance” for supporting FOLS, Nathalie Greenfield (Head Girl) and Mr Andy Baker (Head of 6th form) for supplying and decorating the room, as well as the FOLS committee who served the refreshments and the raffle.
