East Riding Youth Dance Spring Term

East Riding Youth Dance is offering more young people the chance to become members of the project for the spring term starting in January 2010.

Co-ordinated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the project includes weekly sessions with professional artists working towards performances each term. East Riding Youth Dance also gives young people the opportunity to learn from the country’s leading professional dance companies in workshops and live performances.

The youth dance groups are based in six areas of the East Riding with sessions for 11 to 13-year-olds and 14 to 18-year-olds.  At the end of every term, the 12 groups plus the exclusive county company come together to perform at the biggest Youth Dance Platform in the area.

East Riding Youth Dance is being funded by Arts Council, England and East Riding of Yorkshire Council.  Weekly sessions will be taking place in Beverley at the following location:

Minster Primary School, Beverley on Tuesdays 4.45pm – 6.I5pm 11 – 13 year olds and then 6.15pm – 8.15pm 14 – 18 year olds

All groups start in the week beginning 11 January 2010.  Membership is £30 for 10 weeks.
