These active young citizens gave their time and effort to add to the success of this amazing day.  They dressed in character costumes to entertain the children at the festival, took part in the parade and looked after the reindeer. In addition, they did some very valuable work for to contribute to the long term sustainability of the event by carrying out a survey of shoppers and a footfall count to provide both qualitative and quantitative information to potential new funders.

, Youth Volunteer Adviser for the project explained,’ we are particularly proud of the Media Crew we had covering this event which comprises a number of students and staff from @Beverley and some current project volunteers; they are producing an interactive DVD which will provide a tangible and worthwhile record of this memorable day.’  She added, ‘this project provides a wealth of brand new, exciting opportunities to all 16 to 25 year olds and is thrilled and proud to be involved with all the active young people who, not only take part in days like this, but also give time during the year on a regular basis to make Beverley a better place to live in.
