Free Girls Cricket Coaching Sessions With International Player Kathrine Blunt and Sarah Taylor.
Girls from across the East Riding are being offered free coaching sessions from international cricketers on Sunday, 6 December, at Longcroft School and Performing Arts College in Beverley.
Kath Brunt and Sarah Taylor from the England women’s team will be delivering the coaching from 1.30-3pm for under 11s and from 3-4.30pm for under 15s.
Kath Brunt is an aggressive fast bowler who uses a classical action and bats left handed, Katherine made her full England test debut in August 2004 and her full ODI (One Day International) for England V South Africa at Manzil Park in March 2003. IN 2005 Katherine took 14 wickets and scored a maiden half century as England retained the ashes.
Sarah Taylor is wicketkeeper / batsman, Sarah opens the bating for the England in the one day matched and bats middle order for test matches. In 2009 Sarah Taylor scored a massive 120 which was a run a ball in Chelmsford breaking a record that had stood for over 35 years and is was the youngest woman in cricket to achieve 1000 runs in one day internationals.
