Sue Dudill, Promoter for the European Union’s Youth in Action Programme to mobilise young people in Europe, is taking a group of volunteers from Beverley over to Krusevac in Serbia on the 24th October for what promises to be an exciting and worthwhile non-formal learning experience.
It has been organised in conjunction with Marina Virijevic, a colleague from OSK, a youth-based organisation in that area. The theme of this exchange is youth provision and the 2 groups of participants will be working together through a series of dynamic and innovative workshops.
This will result in an action plan being drawn up as to how they can contribute to a better service in our area in the future for all young people. The project’s name is ‘Dancing in the Rain’ which signifies their determination to see this through despite the many barriers they face.
